Why do we love?

this picture contains two of my favourite and respected elements of art! immense detail and spectacular shading! i love detail because it shows how much work and time an artist is willing to sacrifice for beauty, and i love shading because its such a delicate skill.

and the theme of the picture in my opinion is quite moving. how you cant go it alone and when you love someone they will raise you up.

the specks and rays of light are my very favourite part. there so perfectly shaded and toned i know want to learn how to do it too!

it's not all that hard to learn. im self-taught.. and i still have heaps to do. im just a conceptual artist [this truly is my first ever drawing with a background]
i made up most of the techniques as i went. and if you want to be good, just draw & you can. i don't draw enough.. so i only improve slowly. draw always!
